TLDR – Too Long Didn’t Read

Did you watch Ashton Kutcher’s 4 minute Teen Choice Award acceptance speech ? The team at WSHdom could not stop discussing it, This was so spot on inspiring, without being preachy. Gen Z would love this. Ashton (and the good writers at FOX) took all his experience and success and delivered it into 3 pills.

Grab Opportunity – Be Sexy –  Build your Life

1. Opportunities looks a lot like hard work. He speaks about his menial jobs that he took to and loved, but there was never a job that he was not the best at. He put shingles on the roof and swept factory floors, but he was certian, he was the best at that. He never quit his job until he had another job.

2. Being Sexy – the sexieist thing in the entire world is being really smart.

Sexy is – smart, thoughtful and generous. Everything else is crap.

Ashton reinterprets Sexy. Challenges the commercial narrative of sexy.

3. Confidence in Building a Life.

Everything around us, that we call life –  made up by people NO-SMARTER than you.

You can build your own life – don’t live one. Build one that others can enjoy.

This delivery was the inspiration for our team to make short and clear summaries of books we’ve loved. This way we can get you to consider them. Step 1, to actually getting into deep reading and studying the concepts of these books.

One way to look at this is – some of us need to know where books are heading, before we get into a deep committed read. The book is about the journey. It can still be an awesome ride. Here is the destination brochures. We hope you enjoy them.

Today we pick for introduction :

Automatic Millionaire – David Bach

Automatic Millionaire – David Bach

Summary Audio : 8 mins

Automatic Millionaire Is a stepwise actionable plan for building wealth – without the usual – goal setting gyan.

A plan For the undisciplined. A nudge into making automatic fixed percentage, small investments. The crux is – change the habit, don’t focus on the goal, in fact, don’t even set one.

If I had to relate this to fitness goals – don’t get on the scale. But be sure to visit the gym, or go for a little run everyday on your way to work. Your habit will surprise your goals.

The three takeaways to achieve your millionaire life :

1. Small savings every day will compound

2. Pay yourself first – for the future, with any of your earnings

3. Set up automatic payments that allow you to invest, even if you are usually undisciplined.

Key points the author makes on how he learned to break bad habits and form good ones:

Every time we perform a habit, we execute a four-step pattern: cue, craving, response, reward.
